ARSENAL chief Raul Sanllehi was behind Sven Mislintat’s decision to quit the Emirates, according to reports.
Arsenal fan RAGES over departure of Sven Mislintat
Arsenal Director of Football Sanllehi succeeded Ivan Gazidis in the role back in October, after Gazidis had outlined his desire to jump ship to Italy with Serie A giants AC Milan.
For the last few months, the Spaniard has been working closely with Mislintat, who is the Gunners’ head of recruitment.
However, Arsenal man Mislintat will now leave the club in February just over a year since his arrival.
To many, the exit of the former Borussia Dortmund maestro is a surprise.
And Football London claim Sanllehi is responsible for Mislintat’s exit.
The Arsenal chief is determined to name technical director as he continues his revamp of life at the Emirates.
Mislintat, whose job is recruitment, reportedly had it ‘made clear’ to him that he would not be under consideration.
And Arsenal’s plans, coupled with Sanllehi’s snub, supposedly left Mislintat frustrated.
He will now leave in February and early speculation suggests he could be on his way to Bayern Munich.

Bayern are keen to overhaul their squad and Mislintat, given his eye for a transfer bargain, may now be appointed to help oversee that.
Arsenal, meanwhile, confirmed Mislintat’s exit in a 71-word statement today.
Sven Mislintat, our Head of Recruitment, will be leaving us on February 8, 2019," it read.
"Sven has been with us since December 1, 2017 and has done a truly outstanding job in helping us recruit players who are making a big impact now and will do so even more in the future.
"We wish him every success for the future and thank him for his extremely hard work on behalf of Arsenal."
Mislintat himself spoke highly of his time with Arsenal.
"It's been an amazing experience to work at a great club like Arsenal in what has been a big time of change," Mislintat said.
"I am excited about what the future holds for the club and am looking forward to new challenges for myself."
