Jose Mourinho lost his job at Manchester United last month, with Solskjaer placed in charge until the end of the season.
The Red Devils have flourished in the time since, scoring 16 goals to put Cardiff, Huddersfield, Bournemouth, Newcastle and Reading to the sword.
Manchester United under Mourinho is now a thing of the past, with abject performances making way for performances full of gusto and attacking intent.

Over the years, the 55-year-old has always seemed to know who he can rely on - and who he could not.

At Chelsea, he boasted Petr Cech, John Terry, Frank Lampard and Didier Drogba.
During his time at Real Madrid, Mourinho relied on Iker Casillas, Sergio Ramos, Mesut Ozil and Cristiano Ronaldo.
But, at United, he always appeared in the dark over his best teams.
And the MEN say Mourinho felt he only ever learned about his squad from matches they fell behind in.
During his final months in charge, Mourinho was regularly tipped for the sack.
But United seemed to produce a remarkable comeback whenever speculation went into overdrive.

In October, a report from the Mirror claimed Mourinho would be sacked regardless of a result against Newcastle.
But United won 3-2 that day and also survived scares against Juventus and Bournemouth.
Under Solskjaer, United have their character back.
And the 45-year-old’s calmer demeanour appears to have motivated his players in a way Mourinho could never manage.
