Man Utd news: Luke Shaw doing THIS shows big change from Jose Mourinho - Steve Nicol
MANCHESTER UNITED left-back Luke Shaw has been far more adventurous going forward since Jose Mourinho was sacked.
That is the opinion of ESPN FC pundit and legendary Liverpool full-back Steve Nicol.
Luke Shaw has enjoyed a resurgence at Manchester United this season and signed a new five-year contract back in October.

He became the regular left-back for Mourinho after struggling in the Portuguese’s first two campaigns at the club.
But Nicol has already seen a change in Shaw since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer took interim charge at Old Trafford.
You would never have seen that in a million years [under Mourinho]
“Jose Mourinho restricts players,” Nicol said.
“It was funny, I was watching today [against Bournemouth] and I saw Shaw, who is a left-back, running towards the opposition penalty box with two and three players behind him, in front of him, backing him up, looking for passes.
“You would never have seen that in a million years [under Mourinho].
“You would have seen Shaw stuck out on the left-hand side, running up a tramline.
“That’s what he was told to do [by Mourinho].”
Paul Pogba has also returned to form since Mourinho left Manchester United.
The France international has scored a brace in each of his last two appearances.
And Nicol believes Solskjaer has given Pogba the freedom Mourinho didn’t.
“Pogba in my opinion was restricted in his movement [under Mourinho],” the Scot continued.
“He was told he had to do a certain thing, he had to be in a certain position.
“And maybe now and again, if you can, we want to see you try and get into the box.
“That’s wholly different to what he’s doing now.”
United are back in action Wednesday when they visit Rafa Benitez's Newcastle (8pm).
