Man Utd stars should be ‘EMBARRASSED’, Solskjaer must be ‘best manager in world' - Merson
MANCHESTER UNITED players should be ‘embarrassed’ for their improved performances under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Solskjaer: There are things that we need to improve
That’s the opinion of Paul Merson who says the remarkable turnaround for the Red Devils is making the Norwegian look like ‘one of the best managers in the world’.
Since Jose Mourinho was sacked by United, they have beaten Cardiff 5-1 and Huddersfield 3-1 in dominant displays.
And Merson cannot believe the difference in work rate under Solskjaer compared to the Special One.

He told Sky Sports: “It is funny how the players are all starting to run around now.
The players should be embarrassed
“Solskjaer must be one of the best managers in the world.
“The players should be embarrassed.
“They have been making it look easy of late, and Bournemouth won't be able to stop them at Old Trafford.
“It is a great run of fixtures for Solskjaer, and they are on a high at the moment, so will make light work of Bournemouth, they need the clean sheet, but don't look as solid as they once were.”
Manchester United return to action at Old Trafford against Bournemouth on Sunday (4.30pm).
And Merson believes Solskjaer’s team will come out on top in a 3-1 victory.
The caretaker boss has given an update on his squad for the match with Bournemouth with several stars in contention for the game.
“We've not had a lot of training since [the Huddersfield game],” he explained.
Paul Pogba motivates Man Utd before Huddersfield clash
“We had yesterday [Thursday] off so today is the first day back.
”Romelu [Lukaku], Anthony [Martial] and Alexis were [in] light [training] yesterday so hopefully they can join part of the training today and let's see after they've come through.
“Marcos [Rojo] and Scott [McTominay] look like they can take part very soon as well, so it's looking better.
“Smalling has got a sore foot, so I don't think we'll see him until the New Year anyway - maybe not even before Spurs [on 13 January] probably, around that time, but you never know.”
