Real Madrid think Cristiano Ronaldo had secret reason for describing Juventus as 'family'
REAL MADRID reportedly believe Cristiano Ronaldo’s comments about Juventus were done for a secret reason.
Real Madrid have struggled without Ronaldo ever since offloading the Portugal international to Juventus in a huge £105million transfer back in the summer.
The 33-year-old has taken a series of cheap shots at his former club in the time since and, just this week, stuck the knife in deeper.
Cristiano Ronaldo angered Real Madrid fans by saying Juventus was ‘more of a family’ to him than his past employers.
"It isn't right to name someone specific but I can say that this is the best group in which I've played,” he said.
"Here, we are a squad, elsewhere, some players feel bigger than the others. Instead, here, everyone is on the same level, they are humble and want to win.
"If [Paulo] Dybala or [Mario] Mandzukic don't score, they are still happy and you see them smile.
"For me, it is beautiful, to feel that difference. Also at Madrid they are humble, but here I feel that sense more.
"It's very different to Madrid, here it is more of a family."
And Spanish outlet Ok Diario say Real Madrid staff are relaxed over his comments.
It is said they believe the superstar chose to talk up Juventus to win round more fans of the Old Lady.
They reportedly feel Ronaldo’s words were, therefore, not intended to criticise Madrid.
Meanwhile, Los Blancos manager Santiago Solari was quizzed on Ronaldo’s comments.

And the Spaniard replied by saying: "Humility is a virtue of the greats.
"That is why, and more so for its values, this club has won so much.
“Cristiano will be ours forever, he is a living history of Real Madrid.
“His feelings belong to him and no one can judge them."
