Man Utd news: ‘Come January, he will be gone’ - huge United claim
MANCHESTER UNITED midfielder Paul Pogba will leave the club in January, claims former Red Devil Paul Ince.
United: Pogba will be GONE by January claims Paul Ince
Pogba’s future at Manchester United is in doubt after an apparent long-running feud with manager Jose Mourinho.
The France World Cup winner has seen himself in and out of the team this season and has been linked with a return to Juventus.
Pogba is one of a number of United players Mourinho has publicly criticised this term.
Ince says it is a waste having someone of Pogba’s talent sitting on the bench.
It kind of looks to me that they’re both angling to get him out in January
So the ex-England midfielder can only see one outcome for the 25-year-old next month.
“If Paul Pogba’s not playing for United then there’s only one option,” Ince told talkSPORT.
“You don’t spend that amount of money on a player and have him on the bench, unless you’re winning week-in, week-out, which you’re not.
“I think he’s brought it upon himself, Pogba. I think he’s a world class player when he wants to be. I really, really do.
“The relationship between the two doesn’t seem right, some of the things Mourinho will say about Pogba, like he’s not trying.
“If he’s not trying then deal with it, it doesn’t need to be aired in public, I’m not sure that works.
“It kind of looks to me that they’re both angling to get him out in January, if I looked at all the evidence.
“He came on the other day and he didn’t get rapturous applause from the crowd, half were having him and half weren’t having him.
“So it looks like the fans are starting to turn against him, which is never nice, and it looks like he’s going to have to start winning the fans over again, which you can’t do sitting on the bench.
“So it all points to, come January, I think he’ll be gone.”
Pogba is set to start for Manchester United in their Champions League clash away to Valencia on Wednesday.
Mourinho's side have already confirmed their spot in the last 16.
They need to beat Valencia and hope Juventus fail to win at Young Boys to finish top of the group.
