Liverpool news: Mohamed Salah UNHAPPY claim made after Champions League win over Napoli
MOHAMED SALAH is unhappy at Liverpool this season, simply because he’s frustrated at not being able to replicate his form last term.
Liverpool: Jurgen Klopp praises 'exceptional' Mo Salah
That is the view of former Liverpool star Luis Garcia, who saw Salah score the only goal of the game in the Reds’ 1-0 victory over Napoli last night at Anfield in their final Champions League group game.
The win ensured Jurgen Klopp’s men put their names in the hat for the last-16 draw on Monday (11am UK time).
Salah refused to smile after scoring the decisive goal and has at times appeared to look far from content.
And Garcia has a theory on why that might be the case.
Discussing what has changed with Salah, Garcia said: “I think he's not feeling the same as he did last year.
“Last year everything was coming easy and this year he's struggling in a few of the games, having chances and not scoring, probably he's trying to prove himself and well today once again he done it."
The Reds were also indebted to Alisson who made a crucial save in the closing stages of the game from Arkadiusz Milik.
And Klopp was quick to laud Alisson for his vital contribution.
He said: “If I knew Alisson was this good I would have paid double.
“The goal Mo scored - what a goal, unbelievable - but the save Ali (Allison) made I have no words for that.
“That was the lifesaver tonight.
"It was wild and there were lots of counter attacks but we were ready for that.
“That is Anfield live and in colour. Wow, what a game.
“I am not sure a manager could be prouder of a team than I am."
Klopp’s men will now prepare for their Premier League clash at home to Manchester United on Sunday (4pm).
