What Mo Salah did for one Liverpool fan after Champions League win is class
MOHAMED SALAH produced a classy touch after Liverpool’s win over Napoli.
Salah was the difference on Tuesday night at Anfield, scoring the only goal of the Champions League group game when he squeezed home a shot in the first half.
The Egyptian hitman has had a slower start to the campaign, despite rattling home 44 times in all competitions last term.
As well as being a model sportsman on the pitch, Salah is just the gentleman off it.
After the game, Salah went over to a Liverpool fan behind the goal and handed over his shirt.
The fan stuck out a hand and smiled as she received the very memorable gift.
Although Sadio Mane missed presentable opportunities in the second half, the Reds were indebted to Alisson to protect their lead and win through to the last-16 of Europe’s elite competition.
BT Sport pundit Michael Owen reserved special praise for Salah after his display.
“We’ve spoken a lot about Mo Salah and his finishing skill, his dribbling skills - rarely do people talk about his strength," he said.
“He is as strong as an ox, people bounce off him.
“A couple of mistakes, three mistakes you’d say in the Napoli defence.
“Rui, then Koulibaly and then the goalkeeper.
“But from an attacking point of view, fantastic.
Liverpool: Jurgen Klopp praises 'exceptional' Mo Salah
“He sees the goalkeeper making a little move, hard and low, right in the corner.
“What a priceless goal that could be.”
