Jose Mourinho LEFT ALONE by Manchester United players at Old Trafford against Arsenal
MANCHESTER UNITED face Arsenal tonight at Old Trafford - and Jose Mourinho was left on his own in the tunnel.
Man United squad arrive for clash against Arsenal
United are seeking a much-needed win and confidence boost at home.
They host an Arsenal side currently sitting fourth in the Premier League.
Mourinho has been critical of his team of late - warning his players that no-one is immune from being dropped.
And the manager appeared to have said all he needed to in the dressing room before kick off.
TV cameras were in the tunnel before the players walked out and snapped the Manchester United side leaving their dressing room.
And Mourinho trailed his players before resolutely standing behind them.
After one hand-shake with an assistant coach, the manager was left at the back of the queue as his players either faced forward or shook hands with the Arsenal squad alongside.
Mourinho’s frosty demeanour has added to the shadow cast over United in recent weeks.
Mourinho says Man Utd does not need ‘miracle’ to beat Arsenal
They have laboured in the Premier League and even in the Champions League have looked suspect at times.
Meanwhile, Paul Scholes says Mourinho should not be replaced by former Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane.
“Is Zidane the right man though?” he said.
“He went in to Real Madrid who had a group of ready made winners already.
“This is a totally different job he would have to be rebuild confidence with a squad that isn’t quite performing.
“He went to Real Madrid with so many great players, it was still difficult but, this would be a whole rebuilding job.”
