Arsenal legend Tony Adams reveals the difference between Unai Emery and Arsene Wenger
ARSENAL legend Tony Adams has revealed what he thinks are the biggest differences between Unai Emery and former Gunners manager Arsene Wenger.
Emery replaced Wenger at the end of last season after the Frenchman had spent almost 22 years in north London.
The new head coach has got off to a good start at the Emirates and had not lost in his previous 19 matches before Wednesday’s visit to Old Trafford.
Emery’s role is different to Arsene Wenger’s and is based more on the football and coaching side of the job.
Wenger always wanted control over incomings and outgoings at the club and was instrumental in the club’s new training ground and move to the Emirates.

But there is a completely new setup at Arsenal now, with Raul Sanllehi the head of football relations and Sven Mislintat the head of recruitment.
Adams was working as a pundit for Arsenal's trip to Old Trafford.
And he says he has spoken to people at his former club and claims Emery purely focuses on matters on the pitch rather than off it, like Wenger.
“The coach is obviously a lot different from Arsene,” Adams said on BT Sport.
“He just concentrates on the team now and he’s getting them motivated.
“I would have taken seventh or sixth to be honest with you, don’t get me wrong, it’s a transitional year.
“The new coach has come in, there’s a hell of a lot of changes, the structure’s changed.
“You speak to everyone at Arsenal at the moment he’s completely not interested in the club, the training ground, all the development side that Arsene did.
“He’s solely concentrating on that team and he gets on that training pitch every single day and he works with these players.
“We’ve got the results that matter and that breeds a bit of confidence.
“The players think ‘oh this works’ and they buy into it I think.”
Emery was looking to lead Arsenal to a first Premier League win at Old Trafford since 2006.
