Liverpool fans FUME at Jurgen Klopp team selection for PSG showdown… but why?
LIVERPOOL fans were not happy with Jurgen Klopp’s starting line-up against PSG in the Champions League tonight.
Liverpool squad arrive at PSG for Champions League clash
The Reds take on the French champions in Paris tonight as they look to take a step closer to qualification for the last 16.
But fans were not angry with Klopp’s team selection despite the inclusion of Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino.
The Liverpool midfield consisting of James Milner, Jordan Henderson and Georginio Wijnaldum was what irked supporters on social media.
The likes of Xherdan Shaqiri and Naby Keita were left on the bench by Klopp.
One fan tweeted: “Im sorry but wtf is that midfield.”
Another added: “Uninspiring midfield but I’ll go with it! Up the reds.”
And a third explained: “Klopp's obsession with Henderson is beyond me.”
The match between PSG and Liverpool kicks off at 8pm this evening.
Neymar and Kylian Mbappe both recovered in time from injury to feature for PSG.
Liverpool are currently a point clear of the French champions in Group C.
And a win would put them within touching distance of a place in the last 16.
