Fantasy Premier League managers can look to get one over their opponents by having their team set up and ready to go ahead of this evening’s deadline.
A number of FPL bosses are certain to be caught out by the top-flight action kicking off tonight when Cardiff host Wolves.
There are plenty of bargains to be had this week but injuries to Eden Hazard, Kieran Trippier and Benjamin Mendy are all cause for concern.
Gaffers are flocking to sign in-form Manchester City ace Raheem Sterling while the Trent Alexander-Arnold bandwagon is rolling again – so make sure you’re not caught napping with our top tips ahead of the weekend’s games.
Top FPL transfer tips
DEF: Victor Lindelof (Manchester United) – £4.8m
Keep an eye on his injury status, but his price tag could make Lindelof a bargain signing with Southampton up next.
MID: David Silva (Manchester City) – £8.6m
Three games, three goals.
Silva has recorded a goal or clean sheet in every game he’s played in since the first day of September.
FWD: Glenn Murray (Brighton & Hove Albion) – £6.7m
Chris Hughton’s main man provided the killer touch once again at the weekend and is likely to maintain his form throughout a kind run of games going into December.
In-form FPL players
MID – Mohamed Salah (Liverpool): 8.3 form
The Egyptian has racked up 39pts in four of his last five games combined.
MID – Leroy Sane (Manchester City): 8.5 form
If Sane was guaranteed first-team football, he would be an instant buy.
His talent came to the fore once again with a huge display against West Ham.
MID – Raheem Sterling (Manchester City): 11.3 form
The Premier League player of the season so far?
Sterling has recorded three goals and five assists in his last four games.
Best-value FPL bargains

Coleman is a ready outlet for Everton and has racked up plenty of points this season despite missing four matches due to injury.
Christopher Schindler (Huddersfield Town – £4.3m) – 1.6 value
Schindler’s value dropped earlier this season as the Terriers struggled but four bonus points from his last three games suggest a turnaround in fortune.

Who should I captain in FPL GW14?
Mohamed Salah (Liverpool) vs Everton (H)
Liverpool always seem to find a way past their Merseyside rivals at Anfield, and Salah is in fine form ahead of the derby.
Don’t bet against the Egyptian scoring again.
Sergio Aguero (Manchester City) vs Bournemouth (H)
There is a suggestion that Aguero could be rotated after starting the Champions League match in midweek, but he is a great captaincy option if selected.
The Argentina striker loves playing at the Etihad and could run an open Bournemouth defence ragged.
TOP CHOICE: Eden Hazard (Chelsea) vs Fulham (H)
The Belgian is an injury doubt ahead of the weekend but should be fit in time to feature against Fulham.
It’s hard to look past Hazard at home against the Cottagers, despite going off the boil in recent weeks.
