Liverpool news: Jurgen Klopp facing big blow ahead of Champions League clash against PSG
LIVERPOOL could be without Sadio Mane for their crunch Champions League clash against Paris Saint-Germain.
Mane started and played the full 90 minutes of the emphatic 3-0 win in the Premier League away to Watford on Saturday.
The Senegalese attacker has been in fine form, scoring seven times in 17 matches in all competitions this term.
However, the Evening Standard report Mane has been struck down a mystery illness which could force him to sit out the Champions League group encounter away to PSG on Wednesday (8pm).
It is suggested that Jurgen Klopp will take a training session at the club’s Melwood training complex on Tuesday before making a decision.
Mane, it is believed, will be given every chance to prove his fitness, however he faces race against time.
Were the 26-year-old to miss out, it would be a big blow for the Reds, who could secure qualification to the knockout stages with a victory.
Mane only signed a new five-year contract with the Anfield outfit last week.
And Klopp revealed how the deal represented a significant moment in the club’s history.

He said: “If a player is in a very good moment in his career and you can extend the contract, it’s more than just a signing, it’s a statement. I’m happy about that.
“It shows a bit of the change the club made in the last few years.
“A few years ago it constantly happened that players in a very good moment thought they had to leave the club to make the next step.
“Now our boys obviously think they can make the next step here. That’s good.
