FIFA 19 Ultimate Team tips: Pro gamer reveals TWO secrets to instant FUT success
FIFA 19 professional gamer Hashtag Harry has lifted the lid on which two techniques will instantly make average players better.
FIFA 19 gamers all have their own specific strengths and weaknesses, with some players woeful in front of goal while others are diabolical at the back.
There is nothing more frustrating than dominating an Ultimate Team clash, only to be undone by the same old mistakes which sees your opponent run away with an undeserved victory.
However, professional FIFA player Hashtag Harry is here to help with the YouTube star revealing two key tips that will instantly boost your on-pitch performances.
Speaking exclusively to Express Sport, Harry said: “A steady improvement comes from playing people around your level.
“The Division Rivals system means that no matter what level you’re at, you’re against people of a similar level and you’ll never get to a stage where you’re battering people six or seven-nil and you can’t actually improve.
“You know that you’ll get beaten a few times but [eventually] rise up the divisions.
“There’s simple tricks and methods on how to shoot and defend – like for example finesse shots this year are much easier than power shots.
“It’s also important to not drag your centre-backs out of position or someone will be clean through on goal.”
Harry’s suggestion to favour finesse shots over blasting the ball comes following the redesign of the finishing mechanics for FIFA 19.
Unlike previous editions of the game, gamers can now opt for extra power by charging up their shots then tapping the shoot button a second time as their player is about to strike the ball.
The margin for error with this technique is very small, with more shots than ever skewing wide or trickling towards the goalkeeper.
When asked if the new system posed any problems, Harry said: “It was more of a worry before the game came out than after [the release].
“Once it did, it became clear that timed finishing was very easy to master.
“They’ve made it a lot better for the spectators this year, because last year at tournaments it was just a driven shot inside the box or finesse [to score].
“This year in a tournament you are second-guessing each other so you get a lot more different types of goals.”
Harry competes for eSports team Hashtag United, taking part in international tournaments as well as making appearances at the weekly Gfinity Series.
The 22-year-old has an impressive following on social media and has won a host of fans due to his popular YouTube videos.
As well as giving some useful gameplay tips, Harry also identified three Premier League stars who every gamer should consider buying when they’re looking to make an impact in Ultimate Team – but will you take his advice?
