Liverpool news: Neymar and Kylian Mbappe injury announcements made ahead of PSG clash
PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN have issued fitness updates on Neymar and Kylian Mbappe.
Kylian Mbappe injury bigger blow to PSG than Neymar say pundit
PSG’s star strikers picked up injuries during the latest international break and are currently doubts for the visits of Toulouse and Liverpool.
Neymar, 26, injured himself during Brazil’s friendly against Cameroon, while 19-year-old crocked himself in France’s 1-0 victory over Uruguay.
The pair were forced off with what appeared to be thigh and shoulder problems, though they were not confirmed by their countries’ respective doctors.
But those injuries have since been confirmed by the French champions.
A statement on PSG’s official website read: “Neymar Jr and Kylian Mbappe today underwent medical examinations that confirmed:
“For Neymar Jr, a right adductor strain.
“For Kylian Mbappe, a bruised right shoulder.
“They will undergo a 48-hour period of treatment before further evaluation.”

It was reported that Neymar would miss Wednesday’s Champions League clash against Liverpool, in which Tomas Tuchel’s side will look to avenge the 3-2 defeat they suffered to the Reds in September.
However, the fact the former Barcelona man is awaiting ‘further evaluation’ suggests a decision on whether or not he’ll play next week has not yet been made.
Neymar spoke about his injury shortly after Brazil’s 1-0 victory at Stadium MK, writing on Instagram: "Thanks to everyone who sent me messages wishing me a quick recovery.
“I don't think it's anything serious.”
Mbappe has yet to speak out on his injury, which France boss Didier Deschamps is hoping is not to serious.
"He has a sore shoulder, he's fallen badly," Deschamps said at half-time.
"He will have to see after with the medical staff. I hope it's not bad.”
Paris Saint-Germain currently top the Ligue 1 table by 13 points after 13 matches.
