Lacazette turns mentor
Arsenal star Alexandre Lacazette has revealed he is doing his best to help Matteo Guendouzi, who signed from Lorient in the summer, to settle into the club.
He said: "Auba [Aubameyang] and I get on well but it’s not just with him that I have a good understanding.
“I really enjoy playing in this team and with this group of players.
“Matteo came over from France in the summer and we spend a lot of time with him.
“He’s young and maybe when he signed he didn’t know too much about the professional life at a big club, so we had to help him with some things.
“It’s nice because he is happy to learn and we always have fun together.”
Leno makes Liverpool claim
Bernd Leno believes Arsenal proved something against Liverpool on Saturday.
"It was an intense game," Leno said.
"It was a good game for the fans and we also played very well. I think we deserved to win but the draw is OK because Liverpool are a big team. The way we played was very good.
"I think today we saw that we can play our way against big teams. We controlled Liverpool. We played out from the back.
"It was not just lucky or lucky things to create from. We played the ball with passes from behind and that’s the way we want to play.
"The coach gives us a lot of confidence to play like this and we train every day very hard with him, and in the videos as well. That’s the way we want to keep going.”
Koscielny injury update
Laurent Koscielny has taken to Yoga as he aims to rediscover his fitness ahead of his Arsenal return.
The France international took to Instagram to share a snap of him performing a ‘warriors pose.’
He said: “Thanks to @footballyoga for being part of my rehab. Namaste.”
The 33-year-old returned to training in October and will be aiming to force his way into Unai Emery’s plans.
