Man Utd team vs Bournemouth: Jose Mourinho in big Alexis Sanchez and Romelu Lukaku calls
MANCHESTER UNITED's team for their Premier League showdown with Bournemouth has been revealed.
Manchester United face Bournemouth today aiming to continue their climb up the Premier League table after taking seven points from matches against Newcastle, Chelsea and Everton.
Jose Mourinho is relishing the Premier League showdown, telling MUTV that he is excited for the game ahead at the Vitality Stadium.
"I like to go there. Maybe because we won both games there but independent of that, I like to play there," Mourinho said.
"The stadium is small but it’s beautiful. The fans are enthusiastic. The surface is normally in very good condition. They play well and they want to win matches.
"They are not just there to try to frustrate a team that is, on paper, better than them.
"I really like to play there but I know it’s going to be difficult.
"I know that they are very enthusiastic at the moment. They are three points ahead of us and are going to fight to keep that distance, at least."
Bournemouth counterpart Eddie Howe, meanwhile, has insisted United are favourites despite sitting above them in the Premier League table.
He said: "I wouldn't agree with that. Every time you play Manchester United as Bournemouth, Manchester United are favourites for the game, I've got no problem for that.
"Players need to know to get anything out of the game, they are going to have to excel, perhaps even above what we have done this season, to get a positive result.
"That's my message to the players.
"Whenever you play the elite teams, the big guns, you have to outperform your levels.
Man Utd: Rodriguez and Sanchez rumours dismissed by pundit
Mourinho has made the huge decision to leave Lukaku out of the squad, with Sanchez starting in his place.
That is the only change from the side who beat Everton a week ago.
