Barcelona news: Man Utd decide Pogba replacement, Messi and Ronaldo claim, Dembele advice
BARCELONA news is coming in following their Champions League win over Inter Milan. Express Sport brings you all the latest with Manchester United, Paul Pogba, Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and Ousmane Dembele all featuring.
Barcelona want Man Utd star Pogba
Barcelona want to sign Manchester United star Paul Pogba - and reports have now claimed the Red Devils have settled on a blockbuster replacement.
The Daily Mail say that, if the France international leaves, Jose Mourinho would target Gareth Bale.
That’s because United feel the Wales international would fill the commercial void that any move to Barcelona for Pogba would leave.
However, they also recognise that signing Bale from Real Madrid would be tricky given how they are yet to replace Cristiano Ronaldo, who joined Juventus in a £105million transfer back in July.
Messi and Ronaldo claim
Ronaldo is better than Lionel Messi because he is the greatest player in the world, believes Juventus legend Marcello Lippi.
“The team has reached a high level self-esteem to which you could add Cristiano Ronaldo,” he said.
“There isn't anyone else that could increase a team's yield as much as Cristiano, he's the best player in the world.
“Juventus have always began their seasons to win everything, the feeling is that this is a year they could do it.”
Dembele advice
Gerard Pique has reportedly approached Ousmane Dembele to offer him some Barcelona advice.
The France international has toiled at the Nou Camp ever since his arrival from Borussia Dortmund in August 2017.
L’Equipe say that Pique has told Dembele he must up his performance levels if he is to ever justify the £134million Barca paid for him.
And Pique also thinks the forward is suffering as a result of not training hard enough.
