Liverpool team news: Early hint as Fabinho and Lovren arrive alongside Mane and Firmino
LIVERPOOL have been spotted arriving at Anfield ahead of their Carabao Cup clash with Chelsea tonight (7.45pm).
Jurgen Klopp says he will play a 'good side' against Chelsea
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp and his players have been snapped arriving at Anfield in preparation for their third round Carabao Cup tie against Chelsea.
Klopp’s men were spotted pulling up at the stadium and hopping onto the team bus which will take them to a nearby hotel before returning closer to kick-off.
The Reds are expected to make several changes to their starting XI as they look to compete both domestically and in Europe this season.
However, all the Liverpool big guns including Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino were seen reporting for duty.
Liverpool head into the match on the back of a 3-0 victory over Southampton at the weekend, with Klopp’s men yet to drop a point so far this season.
With his team riding high at the top of the Premier League table, Klopp may use the Carabao Cup as a good opportunity to give the fringe members of his squad some game time.
While still not given the night off entirely, the attacking trio of Salah, Mane and Firmino are not all expected to feature from the start against Chelsea.
Daniel Sturridge is likely to be given the nod up front and young striker Dominic Solanke was also spotted arriving at the famous ground.
Simon Mignolet was all smiles as he prepares to replace Alisson in goal, while there was good news for Liverpool fans as Dejan Lovren was spotted in club training gear.
The Croatian has not featured so far this season after sustaining an injury during the World Cup, but the centre-back now looks close to a return.
Fellow defenders Joe Gomez and Alberto Moreno were also seen alongside James Milner, Xherdan Shaqiri and Salah (all not pictured) while club captain Jordan Henderson is also in the matchday squad.
The 28-year-old is expected to partner Fabinho in central midfield if the Brazilian is handed his full debut against the Blues.
