What happened to Luke Shaw?
The Manchester United full-back suffered a concussion as he went up for a header with Real Madrid defender Dani Carvajal during England’s 2-1 defeat at Wembley.
As he attempted the header, Shaw collided head-first with Carvajal’s elbow.
He was knocked to the ground, where his head slammed into the turf, knocking him out.
Shaw was treated on the pitch by paramedics for roughly ten minutes, before being stretchered off.
What have Manchester United said about Luke Shaw’s injury?
The club has made no official statement on Shaw’s injury, and have not given any indication as to how long he will be out for, other than to state it is ‘unlikely’ he will feature against Watford.
On Twitter, United wished Shaw well, writing: “The #MUFC<https://twitter.com/hashtag/MUFC?src=hash> defender is withdrawn after a clash of heads. We're all wishing you a speedy recovery, @LukeShaw23<https://twitter.com/LukeShaw23>.”
On their official website, United wrote: “Our August Player of the Month started for England for the first time since 8 September 2015, but the left-back’s evening unfortunately ended prematurely when he was taken off on a stretcher following an aerial collision with Spain defender Dani Carvajal.
“Shaw thankfully reported he is 'doing fine' in a post-match tweet and vowed to be 'back soon', although it remains to be seen if the defender will be available for our Premier League match at Watford this weekend.
How long will Luke Shaw be out for?
Shaw was removed from the England squad after the game and immediately sent back to Manchester for further treatment.
No official confirmation has been made as of yet with regards to his recovery time.
It is likely that Shaw will be out for at least two weeks, missing United’s away match at Watford as well as their trip to Young Boys on September 8.

Premier League rules state that no player suffering from a concussion can return within six days of the injury, though Manchester United are not willing to rush the 23-year-old back into action.
What has Luke Shaw said since the incident?
Players and fans have flooded the internet with their best wishes for Shaw, but the defender has been relatively quiet.
He tweeted after the game on Saturday to confirm that he was okay and on the mend.
