Messi vs Ronaldo: Football legends reveal who is the best
Barcelona forward Messi signed a bumper new contract last season, meaning he will be at the Nou Camp until 2021 at least.
The Argentina international continues to deliver for the Catalan giants, scoring twice as they thumped minnows Huesca 8-2 at the Nou Camp last night.
Messi remains Barcelona’s biggest player, despite the La Liga side investing heavily in the likes of Philippe Coutinho, Ousmane Dembele and Malcom in recent years.
But the Barcelona player has now sparked fears of his retirement by saying he may go when his current deal expires.
"I see myself playing football until I finish my contract,” he said.
“Then we'll talk to the club if I have to go on or not. I'm not worried.”
Lionel Messi is, though, targeting more Champions League glory with Barcelona with the club yet to win the prize since 2015.
In that time, Real Madrid have dominated the competition, winning it three times in a row.

And Messi added; "It's time [to win it again].
"We have been knocked out in the quarter-finals in the last three seasons.
“Last season's result in Rome hurt especially, but we have a spectacular squad and we can fight for it [this season]."
Meanwhile, Barcelona legend Ronaldinho thinks the club should retire his old No 10 shirt when Messi calls it a day.
