The Manchester United squad were looking rather glum as they arrived for training ahead of their crucial Premier League clash with Burnley this weekend.
The Red Devils face the Clarets at Turf Moor on Sunday afternoon looking to turn around a dismal start to the Premier League campaign.
Jose Mourinho’s side have just three points from their opening three matches after consecutive defeats against Brighton and Tottenham.
The disappointing run is United’s worst start to a season in 26 years, with the Daily Mail reporting that another defeat could see Mourinho get the sack.
The United players have been back training at Carrington this morning ahead of their trip to Burnley, although a number of them don’t look too happy to be there.
Ander Herrera was stoney-faced as he gave Juan Mata a lift to the session, with both Spaniards unlikely to make the starting XI on Sunday.
Marcus Rashford and Jesse Lingard were also looking very serious while there was no hint of a smile from Romelu Lukaku, although the Belgian did wave to the cameras.
On the other hand, Luke Shaw was grinning from ear to ear as he turned up at the wheel of his Range Rover.
The 23-year-old has been one of United’s most consistent performers during their troubled start to the season, drawing praise from manager Mourinho.
The Red Devils boss has been highly critical of Shaw in the past but the left-back has resurrected his career at Old Trafford and is now looking much happier.
The same can’t be said for Victor Lindelof, who was left out of the starting XI against Spurs then struggled after coming off the bench.
The Swede was one of several players – including David De Gea, Fred and Lee Grant – who failed to raise a smile as they arrived at Carrington.
