Manchester United star De Gea is yet to sign a contract extension at Old Trafford, despite Jose Mourinho’s confidence negotiations will be concluded swiftly.
The Red Devils star has established himself as a club hero in recent years, helping them win honours such as the EFL Cup, Europa League and FA Cup.
Manchester United expect De Gea to remain at the club, particularly after former suitors Real Madrid raided Chelsea for Thibaut Courtois.
Yet the Daily Record claim the Spain international was recently approached by Chelsea.

Speaking recently, meanwhile, Mourinho expressed a desire to keep De Gea.
He said: “His [De Gea’s] valuation is zero, because he is a Manchester United player who, as soon as possible, will sign a new contract.
“He likes it here, we love him, we want him to stay, he wants to stay, so when a player is not in the market the value is zero.
“A goalkeeper is a player and sometimes people forget that. A goalkeeper wins points and wins titles, so he is as important as another player."
