Man Utd news: 'Paul Pogba needs to grow up' - Paul Ince hits out at midfielder
MANCHESTER UNITED star Paul Pogba has been told to 'grow up' by club legend Paul Ince.
Speculation still surrounds the Frenchman's relationship with Jose Mourinho after more than a year of spats with the Portuguese coach.
The United boss yesterday claimed he had no problem with Pogba, who captained the club against Leicester on the opening day.
Speaking after the clash, the midfielder dropped another hint regarding his relationship with Mourinho, claiming he would be fined if he revealed his true feelings on the matter.
But Ince believes Pogba needs to 'grow up' and finally put the matter to bed once and for all.
He just needs to play his football, let his football do the talking
"Well first and foremost I think he's a talented player," he told the BBC.
"We've seen all the problems start at the end of last season but I thought they'd been put to bed.
"He's come back, won the World Cup, played fantastically.
"And Mourinho has said '[Antonio] Valencia is out, you're going to be my captain.'
"That shows he got a lot of respect for [Paul] Pogba.
"He plays against Leicester, he's outstanding, man of the match for me.
"After the game, he's decided to have that comment at the end of it which brought it all again.
"He just needs to play his football, let his football do the talking.
"This row has been going on for a season now.
"We should be talking about where Manchester United are going to go this year, not about Pogba, Mourinho, Pogba, Mourinho.
"Let bygones be bygones and grow up."
Pogba will captain United against Brighton tomorrow afternoon.
However, Valencia will regain the armband once he returns next week.
Pogba has attracted interest from Barcelona in recent weeks but looks set to stay at Old Trafford beyond the end of the month.
