Chelsea transfer news: Tiemoue Bakayoko loan talks begin 12 months after £40m signing
CHELSEA are in talks with AC Milan over a deal to send Tiemoue Bakayoko to Italy.
Chelsea only signed Bakayoko from Monaco last summer in a £40m deal.
But his Stamford Bridge career may already be over.
That is according to Sky Sport Italia, who claim Milan have opened talks with the Blues over a move.
Bakayoko, 23, was one of Antonio Conte’s most expensive signings during the Italian’s reign as manager.
But he struggled to impress last season and appears to have done little to get into Maurizio Sarri’s good books so far this summer.
Sky Sport Italia claim discussions between Milan and Chelsea are at an advanced stage.
Milan want the France international to join them on loan, with an option to buy at the end of the season.
Chelsea could let Bakayoko go, with Jorginho signed from Napoli to cover in central midfield.

But the Blues will not want to totally write off a £40m investment from just 12 months ago.
Meanwhile, Chelsea are set to sign Kepa Arrizabalaga from Bilbao.
The west London outfit have agreed a £72m deal for the goalkeeper.
He will arrive in the capital on Wednesday and his arrival means Thibaut Courtois can now be sold to Real Madrid.
