LEWIS HAMILTON won a spectacular victory in the German Grand Prix from 14th on the grid as Sebastian Vettel crashed out at Hockenheim.
Lewis Hamilton took a shock win in the German Grand Prix as his title rival Sebastian Vettel crashed out from the lead.
Hamilton started the race from 14th on the grid after a hydraulic failure in qualifying but took advantage of changeable conditions to make his way through the field.
Vettel had looked set for a comfortable victory but crashed out during a brief rain shower, while an unsuccessful strategy saw Valtteri Bottas lose out to his team-mate.
Kimi Raikkonen rounded out the podium places while Romain Grosjean lost out under the safety car but pulled off some daring late moves to finish sixth.
