Max Verstappen sends message to fans in flashback to F1 debut
MAX VERSTAPPEN has hit social media to rekindle his memories of his points-scoring F1 debut.
Max Verstappen scored his first F1 points back in 2015
Verstappen into his fourth full season in Formula One, having joined the sport to much fanfare as a teenager.
The Dutchman is now considered one of the best drivers in the business and has a Red Bull car capable of challenging for the world championship.
Verstappen endured a disappointing first outing of the season at the Australian Grand Prix last week.
But he appears to have picked his spirits up since, with a number of messages on social media.
Today the 20-year-old posted an image of him racing for Toro Rosso in the 2015 Malaysian Grand Prix - the first race he finished as a professional F1 driver.

“Time flies when you’re having fun!” he tweeted.
“Today 3 years ago I became the youngest ever to score points in Formula 1.”
He also urged fans to check out the car he first raced in at his own museum in the south of the Netherlands.
Verstappen finished seventh in Malaysia and by the end of the season had picked up a respectable 49 points.

He had actually competed in the earlier Australian Grand Prix that campaign but retired after 32 laps with an engine problem.
Max Verstappen also took to instagram on Wednesday to express his desire to forget about the Australian Grand Prix, where he finished behind Fernando Alonso’s McLaren in sixth, and focus on the Bahrain Grand Prix.
“There’s no point in looking back, we move on from here,” he wrote.
