LEWIS HAMILTON was the fastest car at the Brazilian Grand Prix today and deserved to win in Interlagos.
Toto Wolff says Lewis Hamilton was the quickest car and deserved to win in Brazil
That is the view of Mercedes executive director Toto Wolff.
It was the first race since Hamilton won his fourth world title in Mexico 14 days ago.
Hamilton started it from the pit lane after crashing out of qualifying yesterday.
The world champion managed to work his way up to fourth, with Sebastian Vettel winning the race for Ferrari ahead of Mercedes’ Valtteri Bottas.

Wolff was full of praise for Lewis Hamilton for nearly getting on the podium after starting the race last.
“Lewis’ drive was exceptional,” Wolff said on Sky Sports.
“He’s really on a roll, ending up the race five seconds from the leader starting from the pit lane is amazing.

“I think on pure pace Lewis was the fastest car today, probably would have deserved to win but he started from the back.
“But Sebastian managed the pace at the front.
“I think he had reserves during the race, maybe not at the very end, but during the race, definitely.”
