Sebastian Vettel hits out at Ferrari
SEBASTIAN VETTEL has hit back at Ferrari over their bid to deny him a record-equalling third world title.
Ferrari tried to make a case that their driver Fernando Alonso should have won the title becauseVettel's move past Jean-Eric Vergne at the season-ending Brazilian Grand Prix took place in a non-overtaking zone.
Ferrari wrote to motor racing's world governing body, the FIA, to seek clarification on Vettel's manoeuvre.
I never wasted one single thought that an irregularity was involved from my side
Vettel could have been penalised 20 seconds if the complaint had been successful.
Vettel said: "I never wasted one single thought that an irregularity was involved from my side."
"I definitely saw all of the flags - and their colours. I knew since the chequered flag that there was not a single movement wrong from my side."
