Lewis Hamilton's tensions with Martin Brundle have come to light once more after Kim Kardashian snubbed the Sky Sports reporter at the Monaco GP.

Lewis Hamilton appears to have passed on one of his habits to girlfriend Kim Kardashian after she blanked Martin Brundle. The socialite was present to support her partner at the Monaco Grand Prix, where she had no interest in engaging with Brundle during the grid walk.

Ex-Formula 1 driver Brundle attempted to initiate conversation with Kardashian ahead of Sunday's race. Yet what unfolded was instead a painfully uncomfortable encounter as the reality television star simply gazed in every direction except towards Brundle. It's a comparable approach to that employed by partner Hamilton, who secured second place on the French Riviera to maintain his impressive start in 2026. The seven-time world champion previously featured regularly on Brundle's traditional pre-race grid walk but now declines to take part.

Sky has upgraded its Ultimate TV and Sky Sports bundle to now include HBO Max, Netflix, Disney+, discovery+ and Hayu, as well as 135 channels and full Sky coverage of Formula 1.

Sky broadcasts every practice, qualifier and race throughout the season, as well as exclusive coverage of the Premier League, EFL, darts and golf.

During a 2022 interview with GQ, Brundle revealed how certain drivers will "never talk to him." Hamilton now belongs to that category despite formerly sharing a warm relationship.

"I never tried to dropkick them or get clever with the questions," said Brundle. "I think that would be unfair, so it tends to be quite happy and smashy and nicey conversation. I'm not really going to be hitting them with an, 'I heard your contract is up soon' or something like that. It's going to be relevant to the race, but generally speaking they trust me.

"A few of them will just shake their head and then even apologise later on. Or some come up to me in the paddock and go, 'You haven't seen me on the grid for ages, just come and talk to me on the grid'.

"And then others will never talk. Lewis [Hamilton] used to talk to me a lot and then stopped. So, we take it as it comes."

The most recent significant interaction between Hamilton and Brundle occurred at last year's British Grand Prix at Silverstone. Brundle, who competed in 158 F1 races but never secured victory, was heaping praise upon Hamilton for displaying an iconic appearance when his Ferrari transfer was initially announced.

Yet Hamilton delivered a surprisingly sharp reply as he responded: "Thanks man, that means a lot coming from you. You don't have too many positive things to say always."

The remark could have been alluding to observations made by Brundle previously where he said it had been "very hard" to witness Hamilton's post-race interviews following a dip in performance. Nevertheless, the precise cause of the apparent friction remains unclear.

Kardashian, meanwhile, certainly isn't the first celebrity to snub the broadcaster during his customary grid walk. And, as the campaign continues, she likely won't be the last.

Regarding Hamilton, a second-place finish in France has elevated him to second in the drivers' championship. He overtook team-mate Charles Leclerc following his crash at his home GP, while former team-mate George Russell slipped to third after a 12th-place result in Monaco.
