Lewis Hamilton in disagreement with Max Verstappen over F1 rule change
The two are at odds once again... this time away from the track.

Motorsport fans are used to seeing Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen going head-to-head on the racetrack, but the two Formula One greats are now at odds off it, too. The pair share a whopping 11 world championship titles between them, but they couldn’t be further apart when it comes to an opinion on the new regulations.
Verstappen has been the most vocal critic from the paddock about the engine changes that came into play this season, with the Dutchman having even threatened to walk away from Formula One altogether. Meanwhile, Hamilton appears to have found his spark again, with the veteran driver urging his competitors to stop moaning.
In fact, Hamilton has admitted he’s having as much fun in the new Ferrari as at any other point in his Formula One career. Doubling down on his stance, the Brit said: "If you go back to karting, it's the same thing. People going back and forth, back and forth, you can never break away. No one ever has ever referred to go-karting as yo-yo racing.”

He continued: “It's the best form of racing, and F1 has not been the best form of racing in a long, long time. Out of all the cars that I've driven in 20 years, this is the only car that you can actually follow through high speed and not completely lose everything that you have, and you can stay behind.”
It’s in sharp contrast to Verstappen, who earlier in the year claimed the new regulations had turned the sport into ‘Formula E on steroids’. The comments raised eyebrows at the time, with Verstappen moving to clarify them, saying: “Not about the drivers, because there are a lot of good drivers that would be able to perform really well here, but I don’t want us to be close to Formula E.

“I want us to actually stay away from that and be Formula 1. So don’t increase the battery, actually get rid of that and focus on a nice engine and have Formula E as Formula E, because that’s what they are about.
“I’m sure that with the new car, from what I’ve seen and talked to some of my friends in there, that’s going to be also a really cool car. But let them be Formula E. We should stay Formula 1 and let’s try not to mix that.”
