Max Verstappen has batted off questions about his Red Bull future after wrapping up his fourth consecutive Drivers' Championship title, insisting "there's definitely nothing on my mind" except for celebrating.

The Dutchman finished one position higher than title rival Lando Norris at the Las Vegas Grand Prix, ensuring that he holds a 63-point buffer over the Brit heading into the penultimate race in Qatar.

In a post-race interview with Sky Sports F1, Verstappen was asked whether or not his latest title triumph cements Red Bull as the place to be for him moving forward. He was linked with Aston Martin and Mercedes earlier this summer during his team's mid-season slump.

A stony-faced Verstappen replied: "I mean for me, I’m just very proud to be part of the team and we are now celebrating our fourth world title together so… there’s definitely nothing on my mind - nothing else on my mind.”

While Mercedes' chances of securing Verstappen's signatures are still up in the air, the Silver Arrows won't have cared in Las Vegas. George Russell led home Lewis Hamilton to secure a one-two finish in Sin City.

Speaking out after his victory, a beaming Russell said: "I was planning on flying in a couple of hours but I'm definitely not getting on that flight! I will enjoy this evening with all my team.

"It's been a dream of a weekend. I don't know how I've been so quick but I'm just enjoying this ride right now. Vegas is just a crazy place. I can't even describe this place.

"To get pole, the win and one-two with Lewis as well, we couldn't have chosen a better place for this to happen. I was just waiting for something to happen! The two races I've been on pole before, have been chaos."

Russell's win means that for the first time in F1 history, seven drivers have won multiple Grands Prix in a season. The Brit climbed to the top step of the podium in Austria, and will now double up on his celebrations in Las Vegas.
