Fans couldn't help but notice how Sky Sports titled Lando Norris' post-Hungarian Grand Prix interview. The broadcaster was accused of "doing him dirty" with their caption.

Despite another strong performance at the Hungaroring, Norris was once again the bridesmaid and not the bride as he took second place behind his McLaren team-mate Oscar Piastri, who celebrated his first Grand Prix win. Piastri led for most of the race after seizing the lead at the first corner, but Norris reclaimed the advantage by undercutting on their final pit stops.

The 24-year-old Brit found himself embroiled in a tense exchange over the team radio, defying repeated orders to let Piastri through with three laps to go. His race engineer attempted to remind him of his duty to the team, asserting "I tried to protect you" before Norris relented.

Post-race, Norris' disappointment was palpable as he discussed the day's events, a sentiment that wouldn't have been helped by Sky Sports' seemingly cutting caption about his record of second-place finishes.

As Norris somberly recounted his experience to the broadcaster, a caption appeared stating: "Lando Norris: Has finished 2nd 12 times in his career but only has 1 win."

It was soon circulated on social media, with one sharing the clip alongside the remark: "They did Lando dirty." Another observed it was quite the "burn" from Sky. Further reactions included, "They're just telling the facts as they are" and "Sky 1-0 Lando".

Norris made his Formula One debut back in 2019. Since then he has participated in 117 races, having to wait for his first win at this year's Miami Grand Prix in May.

Despite experiencing his best season so far, Norris was visibly frustrated after missing out on a victory in Hungary. The British driver has had several chances to top the podium this season, including races in Austria and Spain, yet he still has only one win under his belt.

His emotions were summed up when he was seen discarding his P2 hat in Hungary and then snapping at Lewis Hamilton, who had complimented the speed of Norris's car by saying: "Whoo, you guys are fast!" Norris hit back and reminded Hamilton that he too had the quickest car on the grid once upon a time. The Mercedes man simply replied: "I wasn't complaining, I was just complimenting you on your car!"
