Neil Taylor keen to avoid penalty shoot-out heartache when Wales take on Northern Ireland
NEIL TAYLOR hopes he will not experience more penalty shoot-out heartbreak when Wales face Northern Ireland in Paris on Saturday.
Neil Taylor scored in Wales' 3-0 group stage win over Russia on Monday night
Unlike many of his Wales team-mates, Taylor has experience of knock-out tournament football having been part of the Team GB squad for the 2012 Olympics.
The Swansea full-back - along with fellow Welshmen Aaron Ramsey and Joe Allen - were dumped out at the quarter-final stage on spot-kicks by eventual bronze medallists South Korea.
"It's difficult to see, when it comes to that moment, the emotions and the tiredness after a whole game, it's hard to relive.
"But I've obviously had that experience, the disappointment of it, and hope it doesn't happen again."
