England goalscorer Eric Dier: This is how we're feeling after 1-1 draw with Russia
ERIC DIER believes the wrong approach to closing out the game cost England three points in their opening game of the European Championship.
Dier scored England's goal but it was only worth a point
England dominated the game but struggled to carve out many clear-cut opportunities.
However, a stunning free-kick from Dier gave his side the lead with 17 minutes to go only for Vasili Berezutski's stoppage-time header to tie the game up.
But Dier refused to accept that the inexperience of the England side allowed the Russians back into the game.
"I thought we did everything right.
"It had it all from us apart from controlling it at the end.
"We've got to put this behind us."
