England recall Ben Stokes for Pakistan Twenty20 clash
ENGLAND have resisted any temptation to experiment in a 14-man squad named to face Pakistan in Wednesday’s one-off NatWest Twenty20 at Old Trafford.
Ben Stokes will be featuring for the first time since the World T20 defeat to West Indies
There are returns for first-choice trio Joe Root, Moeen Ali and Alex Hales - all in action against Pakistan in the Royal London Series but rested for England’s only previous Twenty 20 this summer, the victory over Sri Lanka last month.
Durham pair Ben Stokes and Mark Wood are both predictably back too – having recently recovered from their respective calf and ankle injuries.
Stokes is part of the England Twenty20 squad for the first time since being hit for four sixes in the World T20 final defeat to the West Indies.
England squad: Morgan (captain), Ali, Billings, Buttler (wkt), Hales, Jordan, Mills, Plunkett, Rashid, Root, Roy, Stokes, Willey, Wood.
