Boxing news: Watch Ohara Davies’ BRUTAL second-round knockout of Paul Kamanga
OHARA DAVIES pulverised Paul Kamanga inside two rounds to secure the WBC International super-lightweight title tonight, proving his loss to Josh Taylor is firmly in the rearview mirror.
Davies came up short against Scottish sensation Taylor, who fights Viktor Postol live on Channel 5 at 10.20pm tonight, last year when he was stopped in the seventh round.
But the Hackney man has since put together a three-fight win streak – including tonight’s sensational knockout of 21-1 Kamanga at the O2 Arena.
He needed just two rounds to do it, feeling his opponent out in the opening three minutes before going on the offensive in search of a stoppage.

And it came with just seconds left on the clock as he used his range perfectly to send a missile through Kamanga’s defence that detonated on the Congolese man’s chin.
The strike sent Kamanga’s body twisting through the air as his legs stiffened before he fell face-first to the canvas in one of the most emphatic knockouts this year.
Speaking after the victory, Davies claimed he has his sights set on bigger things in the next couple of months, citing domestic rival Jack Catterall as his ideal next opponent.
“I came into this fight quite nervous because I’ve not fought on TV for about seven months now,” Davies said.
“I’ve not had any time off and I’ve been working for this fight since the start of this year.
“I’m going to have a few days off now because I’m really pleased and I think I deserve it.
“I’m back from under the bus because Frank Warren gave me life, but Catterall’s next on my hitlist once he beats [Tyrone] McKenna quite easily like he should do.”
Catterall takes on Tyrone McKenna in a defence of his WBO Inter-Continental super-lightweight title on June 30 next week.
