Boxing tonight will feature the likes of Gennady Golovkin and David Haye
Tony Bellew vs David Haye
It should have been a Christmas cracker but instead it looks set to be a spring classic.
David Haye and Tony Bellew “will never be mates” according to the Londoner but they will share the squared circle for a second time tonight. Each man will likely retire if he loses.
On the undercard, Joe Joyce will face the biggest test of his brief professional career when the 32-year-old takes on Lenroy Thomas for the Jamaican’s Commonwealth title while Paul Butler and Emmanuel Rodriguez, just one career defeat between them, will fight for the IBF title that Ryan Burnett has been forced to vacate.

Gennady Golovkin vs Vanes Martirosyan
This was supposed to be the rematch of all rematches, Golovkin’s redemption. GGG should surely have won the first fight with Canelo Alvarez, only for one bizarrely wide card in the Mexican’s favour from judge Adalaide Byrd to turn the result to a split-decision draw.
A rematch was made for Cinco de Mayo - but then Golovkin suffered more injustice. Alvarez failed two drugs tests, testing positive for banned fat-stripper clenbuterol in February, and was handed a six-month ban.
But Golovkin was determined to fight anyway and having turned down IBF mandatory Sergiy Derevyanchenko, booked a bout against former world title challenger Vanes Martirosyan, who has not fought in two years.
The IBF threatened to strip Golovkin but granted him an exemption as long as he agrees to fight Derevyanchenko before August 3.
Gennady Golovkin and Vanes Martirosyan will face off at the StubHub Center
