Two-time world champion Andre Ward pulls out of Las Vegas showdown with knee injury
ANDRE WARD has withdrawn from his Las Vegas bout with a knee injury.

The two-time world champion was scheduled to take on Colombian Alexander Brand at Mandalay Bay on November 21 as part of his deal with American broadcasters HBO.
Ward was on the undercard of Miguel Cotto and Canelo Alvarez’s middleweight world title fight.
But after complaining of swelling in his knee, Ward has been forced to cancel his big date.

“I’m extremely disappointed that I'm missing this opportunity on Nov. 21, but at the same time, I'm encouraged," Ward said in a statement released by Roc Nation Sports.
"Anytime I have had a minor or major etback in my career, by the grace of God, I've come back stronger and this will be no different.

Ward has an unblemished record with 28 wins from his 28 bouts, 15 of which have come by knockout.
