Anthony Joshua sticks by Rob McCracken
Anthony Joshua has insisted he has no intention of parting company with Rob McCracken, despite calls for his long-time coach’s head following his TKO loss to Andy Ruiz Jr last weekend.
In a candid interview on his official YouTube channel, Joshua said: "I took my first [professional] loss. How to explain that feeling?
“It has happened to me before but I feel like those times I lost years back have made me a stronger person.
“This hasn’t really changed me, my work ethic, my mindset, what I stand for, the people I’m still loyal to – my trainer Rob McCracken, my amateur coach at Finchley ABC.
"I’m still going to work with these guys, they’ll teach me everything I need to know.”
Eddie Hearn slams conspiracy theorists
Joshua’s prompter Eddie Hearn has dismissed suggestions ‘AJ’ wasn’t sound of mind before he lost the WBA (Super), WBO, IBF and IBO heavyweight titles to Ruiz Jr.
The conspiracy theories, I have never seen anything like it

“One: he got beat by the better man on the night and two: he got a shot in the third round just above the ear that he didn’t recover from.
"He was concussed in the fight. It is heavyweight boxing.
“I see all these clips going around saying ‘oh, he doesn’t look right in the ring, he was getting his neck messaged’. That was just him. He was the calmest person in the arena.”
