Anthony Joshua Wembley fight CANCELLED? AJ fuels talk with Deontay Wilder admission
ANTHONY JOSHUA has cast doubt over his next fight taking place at Wembley.
The WBA (Super), WBO, IBF and IBO heavyweight champion is currently scheduled to fight at the home of English football on April 13.
At this moment in time, Joshua doesn’t have an opponent for his next outing and time is fasting running out for the Olympian to find a dance partner.
Earlier this week, it was reported that the Olympic gold medalist has his sights set on fighting at Madison Square Garden next.
Boxing Scene claim Joshua and his team are interested in facing American Jarrell Miller next summer in a bout which would mark his American debut.
Joshua has been angling for a multi-million-pound unification bout with WBC titleholder Deontay Wilder for the best part of a year.
It’s looking increasingly likely that Joshua vs Wilder won’t happen in April as the latter is currently gunning for a rematch with Tyson Fury, who he fought to a draw earlier this month.
And if a fight with Wilder fails to come to fruition, Joshua doubts he’ll be able to fill Wembley.
“The reason why I’ve booked Wembley is to face Wilder, so if it’s not Wilder then I don’t know who can kind of fill that void,” the 29-year-old said after being awarded an OBE.

“I hope to be back there but it’s a fan sport.
“If the fans want me to fight someone and they’re interested they will come out, if they’re not interested then I’m going to end up struggling to fill Wembley.”
One man who has been touted as a potential opponent for Joshua is Dillian Whyte, who picked up an 11th round KO victory over Derek Chisora last night.
Joshua was ringside for the fight and revealed he’s more than willing to rematch ‘The Body Snatcher’.
“Dillian's an idiot,” Joshua told Sky Sports. “You know why? I showed him some respect.
“I told him, ‘Look, I knocked you out clean when we fought but I said let's forget about that because we've both developed, so let's prove who's the better fighter now.’
"If Deontay Wilder isn't serious and he's going to fight Tyson Fury and he don't want to become undisputed, Dillian will get a shot. He starts piping up so I said, cool. I'm quite respectful.
"But if Dillian steps in the ring with me, trust me you best believe none of these heavyweights are on my level.”
