The unusual continuation saw the pair on a day out to watch a show by well-known children’s entertainer Magic Marv.
Unfortunately Martin’s (played by James Bye) day didn’t go as expected, as a drunk Magic Marv insulted him in front of the entire audience.
More annoyingly for Martin, Kush Kazemi (Davood Ghadami) crashed the show and won praise in front of Stacey (Lacey Turner), leading Martin to have a bust-up with Magic Marv.
At the end of the episode, Sonia (Natalie Cassidy) asked a beer-drinking Martin what he was doing home so early.

Martin then announced that his relationship with Stacey was finished.
He sighed: “It’s over. I want a divorce!”
Actor James previously revealed that Martin and Stacey’s clash runs deeper than Max Branning’s (Jake Wood) affiar, and that their current war is all about the children.

Speaking exclusively to Express.co.uk, James spoke about Stacey’s children, explaining: “That’s what wounds him I think because he is obviously aware that two of the children aren’t biologically his, but he doesn’t think like that.
“He raised them. As far as he’s concerned they're his children.
“He looks after them 24/7 even though Arthur is Kush’s. It’s like his best mate’s son, but in his mind it's his and he’s going to do anything he can to protect them.
James continued: “So I think that’s what hurt him more than anything, maybe more than even Max. That she said that.”

The actor also explained how Martin is unlikely to just give up and seek a divorce.
Owing to their previously strong relationship, James thinks they could work through their rough patch.
He added: “I think they had such a strong relationship. I don’t think it’s just going to go. There will be ups and downs.”
Will Martin really go through with the divorce? How will Stacey react?
EastEnders continues tomorrow night on BBC One at 8pm.
