EastEnders shock as Steven's lie about brain tumour is revealed
Fans of the long-running BBC soap are already aware that Steven (played by Aaron Sidwell) had been lying about having a brain tumour but his former fiancée (Jacqueline Jossa) truly believed he was dying.
In a teaser clip from tonight's episode shows the moment that Lauren finds out that her beau lied about his illness.
Steven died after he sustained injuries in the fire at the Beale's restaurant with his secret lover Abi Branning (Lorna Fitzgerald) revealing that she was pregnant with their child.
Tonight, a family liaison officer will open up to Lauren and Steven's family about the extent of his injuries before dropping a major bombshell.

"Steven died of a live bleed," she tells the group gathered in the Queen Vic. "He must've fallen or knocked sharply into something."
Lauren then asks about Steven's brain tumour and if that could have also played a part in his passing.
"Well obviously we don't have anything from Steven's own doctors, just the the information from the pathologist," the liaison officer continues, before confessing: "Steven didn't have a brain tumour."
Lauren can be seen stunned by the news as she struggles to comprehend the information she has just been given.

That's not the only bombshell however, as the details of Steven's death hint that he was murdered by Max Branning (Jake Wood).
The soap villain was seen throwing Steven into the side of a cupboard after he tried to rescue his stepmother Jane (Laurie Brett) from the fire - but will he be caught out?
