POINTLESS host Alexander Armstrong fancied his chances at fighting a contestant before tonight’s episode.

The BBC quiz show featured one particular hopeful that Armstrong thought he could beat in a fight, Richard Osman revealed.
Contestant Rob, from Peterborough, explained that he was a retail manager for a large sports shop with a hidden talent.
Armstrong asked: “What are your interests out of the sports shop?” prompting Rob to reply: “Out of the sports shop it’s more sports orientated again. I’m into bodybuilding and keeping fit and martial arts.”
Intrigued, the quiz presenter delved deeper, asking: “Right… so which of the martial arts or do you have a whole spread of martial arts?”

Revealing a long list of achievements, Rob added: “I’ve done Judo, Karate, Taekwondo and then sports, Martial Arts, Kickboxing.”
Armstrong gasped in amazement: “Wow, when you say I’ve done, does that mean you’ve got to the top or moved on?”
In a shock twist for the BBC host, Rob continued: “Got to the top, moved on, British champion, European champion, world champion…”
Revealing that he was the world champion in the discipline of Kickboxing, Armstrong said: “How incredible.”
