The Saturday Night Takeaway stars appeared on The One Show to promote the new series of the ITV favourite, which returns to screens this weekend.
Viewers were left very uncomfortable after BBC producers got the Newcastle duo the wrong way round in a 'secret sofa' segment.
Showing a split screen of Ant's sofa in North West London and Dec's in Newcastle, the programme switched the presenters' usual positions around, putting Dec's on the left and Ant's on the right.

The pair are always seen in the same order on screen and in snaps, with Ant on the left and Dec on the right.
Eagle-eyed viewers at home instantly spotted the gaffe and were in uproar on social media after the Britain's Got Talent hosts' famous line-up was flipped.
They flooded to Twitter to share their views on the uncomfortable mistake.
"Slightly traumatised by the positioning of the couches… Dec and Ant #TheOneShow #wrongwayround," said one social media user.

A second person commented: "OH NO! BBC has @andtanddec the wrong way round."
"Oh dear #TheOneShow you got And and Dec's sofas the wrong way round," another chipped in.
Ant and Dec, who recently collected their OBEs, couldn't hold back their giggles later in the show when host Angela Scanlon made a hilarious accidental innuendo.
Chatting about the people who had showed up to the 'secret sofas', Angela pointed out a dapper gentleman in a dinner jacket.

"A dinner jacket?" Ant asked, before the host comment: "Yeah! They whipped it out tonight."
Dec couldn't contain his laughter, although poor Angela tried to solider on as the studio fell about in fits of giggles.
"I must have missed that," Dec commented, before joking: "It is very cold…"
