Westworld viewers left 'amazed' by 'masterful' young Anthony Hopkins scene
FANS of Westworld were left open-mouthed when they watched Sir Anthony Hopkins transform into a younger version of himself on the hit HBO series.

The 78-year-old actor, who plays Dr Robert Ford in the show, could be seen looking much younger in an eye-opening flashback scene.
His character opened up about the beginning stages of the futuristic theme park, which allows humans to interact with artificial intelligence, otherwise known as hosts.
It was scary how similar the younger version of Dr Ford looked to Sir Anthony when he was younger, and left fans of the show speechless.
Many took to social media to express both their shock and amazement at the "masterful" scene.

Another viewer questioned how the scene was possible, asking: "De-aged Anthony Hopkins on #Westworld was excellent. Was his footage lifted from an older film of his? Or just CGI makeup? Both?"

Speaking about the scene, show runners Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy told Entertainment Weekly: "That's a collaboration with our incredible effects supervisor Jay Worth and a wonderful vendor, ILP.
"The beautiful thing about working with Anthony Hopkins is he's had a long and storied career so when we're looking for references for how Tony looked in his 30s and 40s, you have a lot of material to work with."
Westworld continues on Tuesday on Sky Atlantic at 9pm.
