Cold Feet viewers 'outraged' by factual blunder
IT'S only two episodes into the new series but Cold Feet fans were left "outraged" following a major geographical inaccuracy last night.
Angela calls Manchester Britain's second city
Writer Mike Bullen suffered a major blunder as he wrongly stated that Manchester is the second largest city in England, a title that actually belongs to Birmingham.
Unsurprisingly, the mistake didn't go down too well with Brummies as they instantly took to Twitter to blast Bullen, who helms from nearby Solihull, for his error.
Angela (Karen David) called Manchester the "second biggest city in England" during a conversation with Adam (James Nesbitt).
Viewers were quick to point out that Manchester, where Cold Feet is set, is actually further down the list of largest cities behind Birmingham.

Lottie Adams, fan of the show, tweeted: "Manchester is the second city... WHAT???? I'm outraged!! #Birmingham."
"Manchester isn't the second city, Birmingham is! #coldfeet #itv us brummies hate it when people say that," tweeted Bonnie Cookson.
Another posted: "It's so well written loving #ColdFeet but #Birmingham is England's the second city."

With more canals than Venice, Birmingham has long been regarded as the second biggest city because of its size.
Cold Feet writer Bullen based the characters on himself and his friends from Solihull School.
Taking to Twitter earlier today, he posted: "#ColdFeet B'ham v Manc. I'm from Brum. The views of my characters do not necessarily etc etc. And anyway, both are preferable to London!"
Cold Feet continues on Monday at 9pm on ITV1.
