Is Poldark returning for a third series?
The actor accidentally revealed that filming on series three of the hugely-successful BBC One programme will commence after the summer.
Following his win at the 21st National Television Awards this week, the 32-year-old admitted far too much about the future plans for Poldark.
Aidan, who took home the Impact (TV Moment of the Year) gong, confessed: "We start shooting the third series I believe in September."
The heartthrob later tried to retract the remark, adding: "Oh no, I’m going to be in trouble. It’s possible we’re not doing that," during an interview with The Sun.

On accepting the prestigious statuette, Aidan - who plays the dashing Ross Poldark - admitted that he was feeling "slightly confused".
"I'm not sure why I'm here, I'm glad to be, and who knows, this might be the only one I get, so I'm delighted," he told the star-studded audience.
Aidan was seen posing with Poldark co-star Heida Reed, who portrays Elizabeth Chenoweth, on the red carpet, as she wowed in a green off-the-shoulder dress.

During his appearance at the ceremony, the hunk also addressed his "sex symbol" status, admitting that he was oblivious to it.
He said: "No one ever says it to me, I don’t feel it. I’m not on Twitter. Maybe that’s the problem, I don’t do social media so I don’t get any messages."
TV star Aidan also recently won praise for his role in the festive adaptation of Agatha Christie's And Then There Were None.
Poldark series two is set to commence later this year.
