FORMER Glee star Mark Salling has been arrested for alleged possession of pornographic material involving children, the LAPD has confirmed.
Mark Salling, who played Puck on Glee, has allegedly been arrested
Reports from the US claim that the actor, who played Noah ‘Puck’ Puckerman on the Fox series, was confronted by the LAPD’s Crimes Against Children Task Force unit yesterday morning when they arrived at his California home with a search warrant.
Officers have confirmed to Express.co.uk that he has since been arrested.
The LAPD have said it is too early to comment further, while Salling’s representatives have yet to respond to requests for a response.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the actor left Los Angeles' Downtown jail at just after 2.30pm yesterday after posting bail, which was set at $20,000.
The actor is reported to have been arrested earlier today
He left Glee in 2013
Puck was a regular character on Glee from its first episode in 2008 up until season five, when he was downgraded to a recurring guest star.
Unsurprisingly, his Twitter feed has been quiet in recent days, with the 33-year-old last posting an update on Christmas Day.
He wrote, “Merry Christmas from Gerbie and I” along with a string of emojis and a photo of himself kissing his pet.

Prior to that, he was in Costa Rica for the wedding of his former co-star Harry Shum Jr and long-term girlfriend Shelby Rabara.
Salling’s career has been quiet since Glee: he has shot two TV movies, Rocky Road and Adi Shankar’s Gods and Secretsm, and has not released any music since his album Pipe Dreams peaked at No189 in the US in 2010.
