Alan Partridge to co-host TFI Friday Christmas Special alongside Chris Evans
CHRIS EVANS is getting a very special co-host for the Christmas special of TFI Friday: none other than Alan Partridge.
Steve Coogan's Alan Partridge is heading to TFI Friday
The excruciating Radio Norwich DJ, played by Steve Coogan, joins James Corden, Sir Tom Jones, Jack Whitehall and Lee Mack on the festive edition of the Channel 4 show when it airs later this month.
Evans said: "Having staggered through nearly 200 TFI Friday rehearsals and live shows over the years, it'll be a relief to see how it should be done by Norfolk's master of broadcasting."
"I was honoured to receive the invitation to co-present 'Thank Frig It's Friday'," Partridge himself added.
"The fee being offered was more than generous, and as soon as I received photographic evidence that my dressing room had its own shower, I signed on the dotted line.

TFI Friday was recently revived for a new series, nearly 20 years since its first broadcast.
Evans, who will front the revamped version of the BBC's Top Gear in 2016, returned to front a full new run after a successful one-off edition aired earlier this year, back in June.
He's had an impressive array of guests on the programme, including Justin Bieber, Coldplay, Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, Ellie Goulding, Lionel Richie, Julianne Moore and Dawn French.

Coogan himself also showed up in the first episode of the new series, back in October.
Fans have also been petitioning for Partridge to co-host Top Gear, although it seems they'll have to make do with just TFI Friday for the time being.
The episode airs on December 18 on Channel 4.
